Simply attach externally to any side of your pet’s enclosure to create a heat gradient that your critter can use to regulate its body temperature. Do not place the heat mat inside of the enclosure, nor at the base of the enclosure, as heat will rise and burrowing critters will not have a place to cool down. Recommended for use with a thermostat.
