Spiderling Curly Hair Tarantula

Curly Hair Tarantula spiderlings, known scientifically as Tliltocatl albopilosus, are a beginner-friendly species from Central America that already flaunt their characteristic woolly, curly hairs. Native to countries like Honduras, Guatemala, and Costa Rica, these slings will grow into medium-sized adults, reaching up to 6 inches in leg span. They are prized for their calm, docile temperament, making them perfect for first-time tarantula owners and are not considered dangerous. The spiderlings will appreciate an enclosure with a decent amount of substrate for burrowing and should be kept in warm, humid conditions between 70-85°F (20-30°C) and about 60% relative humidity. These tarantulas are generally terrestrial and aren’t demanding in terms of care, making them an excellent choice for those new to arachnid keeping or looking to add a uniquely beautiful species to their collection. Curly hair slings are a relatively easy and safe species to keep. Their venom is considered to be very mild, almost comparable to a bee sting, posing little to no threat to humans unless of a specific allergy. This makes them particularly suitable for those new to the hobby. These spiderlings are terrestrial and love to burrow. Providing them with an enclosure that has a deep layer of substrate will not only encourage this but also make them feel more secure in their environment.  Temperature and humidity are also important factors to consider for their care. They thrive best at temperatures between 70-85°F (20-30°C) and prefer a humidity level of around 60%. These curly-haired spiderlings will eventually grow into docile and charming adults, making them an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced keepers.
